Why AWHSA?

With a surging number of surfers, both experienced and inexperienced, being exposed to the elements of a wave pool, the management and operations staff need to be highly trained and prepared to react to any health-related event.

AWSHA can equip, train and audit wave pool operations to be prepared when an accident does occur. To provide and train on protocols from slips trips an falls, to head, neck and spinal injuries. Equipping staff with the proper PPE, first responder supplies and equipment and written procedures to be able to react swiftly and accurately until medical responders arrive.
